A meringue-based dessert topped with whipped cream and decorated with fresh fruits and berries, Pavlova is one of the lightest delights. It was created in New Zealand and named after the Russian ballet dancer Anna Pavlova when she visited there in 1926 on her world tour. It is popular in Eastern Europe, New Zealand, and Australia.
